Charter Requirements

Infinite Menus, Copyright 2006, OpenCube Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Generally we require Yacht Master, with extensive experience. But if you do not have tickets we will run your experience past our Insurance Company, who will then confirm whether your experience is adequate to charter a Yacht.

Charterers are responsible for the safekeeping of the yacht and its equipment during the charter period. All our yachts are insured under the policies with normal Institute Yacht Clauses including charter use, subject to certain deductibles or excesses. In the event of a claim being necessary, the security deposit will be withheld to meet any costs not recovered under the yacht’s Insurance. Special terms apply for racing. Where professional skippers have been employed, either directly by charterer or indirectly through Lymington Yacht Charters, the charterer remains liable for losses or damages during the charter period.     Safety whilst afloat is a priority at Lymington Yacht Charters. All our Yachts have passed stringent checks by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), and carry lifejackets & harnesses, liferafts, flares and other items of safety equipment. At point of handover you will be given a comprehensive briefing on the yacht and its equipment. If at any time you want to ask any questions with regards to the yachts equipment, our staff will be happy to help.
